My Milk Shake: Journey of the Shake

This song has been stuck in my head for about 3 weeks. Wish I knew why. I wish I could stop it. In addition to it playing constantly in my head I can not stop making what I think are hilarious renditions of this horrid song. IE: The Charlie Day photo. OR this screenplay written at 5am Thursday morning.

MY milkshake—-the journey of the shake

Two girls in their mid 20’s gather to the island of a kitchen. Girl A is drinking a milkshake, turning her head every so often toward the window. After a few sips from the milk shake Girl A walks over to the window and peeks through the shade.

Girl A

(sighs)

Girl B

What’s wrong?

GIRL A

It’s nothing. It’s just…

Girl B

It’s just what?

Girl A

It’s just my milk shake

Girl B shrugs her shoulders.

Girl B

What about your milk shake?

Girl A

My milk shake brings all the boys to the yard.

She looks over her shoulders towards the window before walking again to peek through the shades.

Girl B

Seriously?

Girl B joins her in peeking through the window.

Girl A

Yea. Seriously.

Girl B

What? I make milk shakes all the time. No boys ever come to my yard.

Girl A

Well, that’s simple. Mine are better than yours.

Girl B

What? That’s not true.

Girl A

Damn right it’s better than yours!

Both girls head back to the kitchen counter.

Girl B

(sighs)

I want boys to come to my yard because of my milk shakes. This sucks.

Girl A

I could teach you, if you wanted.

Girl B

Would you? Oh man, that would be awesome!

Girl A

I could teach you…butttt I would have to charge.

Girl B

Really? You’re going to make me pay you for lessons. That is pretty rude of you.

Girl A

Listen, I know you want it. This thing…it makes the guys go crazy. They lose their minds.

Girl b

Fine, I guess. Teach me.

The next scene is a montage of the girls making several milk shakes. The blender explodes. Girl B keeps making mistakes. Girl A tastes a few, spits it out. By the end Girl A throws the blender. Girl B is on the ground crying. The last shot is of Girl A tasting the milk shake.

Girl A

You’ve done it.

Girl B

I did? I did?

girl a

I believe so. But there is only one way to tell.

girl b

How?

Girl A motions her head to the window. Girl B walks over and opens the door. In the front of her building is a boy standing there. He waves. She turns around to face Girl A but Girl A is gone.

girl b

I did it! There is a boy in the yard…He is there…he is…Hello? Where did you go?

She walks to the counter to find a note stuffed in the blender.

The Note reads;

Blend it and they will come. You have made me realize that life is a treasure that comes through hard work and determination. All that you owe me now is a promise. A promise to yourself that you will forever make milkshakes and bring multiple boys to multiple yards. I must go now. Thank you. Thank you so very much.

Girl B holds the letter to her heart.

Girl B

I will never forget you. Never.

end scene.
